I’m embarking on a very exciting time in my life, and would love to fill you in with what is going on.  Beginning January 25th, I will start a 4 month internship with Dwight and Candy Haymon that will also include a trip to Africa in April.  For the past 30 years, Dwight and Candy have pastored, planted, and served in numerous churches.  Dwight holds a B.A. and M.Div. in Christian Ministries, and Candy holds a B.A. in Christian Education and Church and Family Life.  The Lord has placed a great anointing on their lives to pass on their knowledge of the Father and the gifts of the Holy Spirit to others, and it is a great privilege and honor to work underneath them.

Since moving to Atlanta in May of last year, it has been clear to me through God’s affirmation and favor that I am in the right place at the right time.  His hand has rested heavy on my life and, through his perfect will, I have been given this opportunity to grow and prepare for a lifetime of ministry.  It is with great joy in my heart that I write you and share my desire that you partner with me in this internship.

It is my primary wish that you support me in your prayers; however, I am also in need of your financial support if you feel called to do so.  I will be working 1 or 2 days a week to help pay for living expenses, but will need additional funding for the program.  Below is a breakdown of the associated costs.

$3300 — Trip to Sierra Leone.  This includes all costs for a 16 day trip. The African Trip will consists of working with churches and church leaders in Africa.  This is the highlight of the internship; for, we will be training and equipping Christians and leaders from around that area to do the things that Jesus would do.

$300 — Conference fees

$350 — Books, paper, other program materials

$300 — Miscellaneous fees (e.g. utilities, building expenses, special speakers)

$300 — Extra, incidental, reimbursement for the Haymon’s time

——–

$4550 — Total cost of internship program

Beloved, you are acting faithfully in whatever you accomplish for the brethren, and especially when they are strangers; and they have testified to your love before the church. You will do well to send them on their way in a manner worthy of God. For they went out for the sake of the Name, accepting nothing from the Gentiles. Therefore we ought to support such men, so that we may be fellow workers with the truth.
